Flash calcination technology, developed by Demeter Technologies, allows local businesses, for a manageable investment, the opportunity to become a major player in the production of hydraulic binders.

Following the agreement of the installation of an industrial metakaolin production unit, the technology transfer between Demeter Technologies and the business is implemented.

CONCRETE APPLICATIONS

Demeter Technologies Flash metakaolin can technically be used in all concretes, whether prefabricated or ready for use.

The advantages of metakaolin in concretes :
• Flash metakaolin brings the ecological advantage of a reduction of more than 20% in the rate of CO2 generated by the use of a pure clinker in the production of concrete.
• Flash metakaolin improves the properties of fresh, hardened concrete.
• Flash metakaolin allows for a reduction in production costs.



Argeco Développement distributes three products for concrete production which are based on Flash metakaolin :
          • Argicem
          • Argibap
          • White Argicem


Argicem / White Argicem

Argicem is the commercial name for the metakaolin developed by Argeco Développement, the French subsidiary of Demeter Technologies.
Argicem is obtained by Flash calcination of kaolin clay. This new calcination process, with low energy consumption and CO2 emissions, is a positive example of sustainable development.

Argicem is a type II pozzolanic ingredient for concretes and mortars which conforms to the standard NF P18-513.
Its denomination is as follows : Metakaolin (standard NF P18-513) -A-FM-WH.

The use of Argicem metakaolin in concrete products enables improved performance in a number of areas :
Improvement in facings,
Elimination of efflorescence,
Improvement in durability,
Resistance to chemical attack,
An alternative to silica fumes,
Lower hydration heat,
Absence of bleeding,
Resistance to alkali reaction,
Loss reduction on planned quantities of concrete.

Fields of application
Argicem can be used in all types of concrete in the field of prefabrication and of ready mixed concrete, in particular in :
Wet cast concretes,
Highly chemical resistant concretes,
Sterile concretes,
Architectonic concretes,
Self-levelling concrete,
Fibrous concrete (glass, polyester fibres...),
Mortars (building, render…).

Argibap

Argibap is an ingredient for concretes composed mainly of selected metakaolin and lime filler which are adapted to the production of self-consolidating concretes.

The use of Argibap in concrete products enables improved performance in a number of areas :
granular complements,
stability of self-levelling concretes,
improvements in the quality of facings.

Fields of application
Argibap is particularly adapted to the production of self-levelling concretes, but may also be used in other types of concrete, such as moulded concretes and architectonic concretes for prefabricated or ready mixed concrete.
